YaQwasia is a former customer engagement marketing manager at Newsela. She also served as co-chair of \"Melanated,\" a Newsela employee resource group. Prior to joining Newsela, YaQwasia designed and executed marketing campaigns across education, technology, and research organizations, both domestic and international.
