More than just a day to give gifts and cards, Valentine’s Day has roots in ancient history and customs. You can test students’ knowledge of facts like where and when certain Valentine’s Day traditions originated with this seasonal challenge.

[2. Valentine’s Day trivia](id-trivia)

How much do your students know about the basics of Valentine’s Day? With this trivia quiz, you can test their knowledge of mythical figures like Cupid, the customs of gift-giving for this holiday, and other common facts. It’s perfect for in-class parties or as an independent activity for students who finish work early.

[3. Valentine’s Day bell ringer](id-bell)

Add a fun holiday twist to your grammar and punctuation practice with this activity. Students will read a passage about Valentine’s Day and use the drawing response type to find and mark errors in its capitalization, punctuation, spelling, or grammar.
